Five ships will sail in European waters between April and October 2017, including for the first time regular cruises from Hamburg and the Norwegian Getaway in the Baltic Sea.
The cruise line has also presented the Norwegian Escape's summer cruises from Miami.
This will be the first time Norwegian has based a ship in Hamburg for a full season. The Norwegian Jade, one of the company's four Jewel-class ships, will offer brand-new itineraries departing from the Hanseatic City. From May 14 to October 9, 2017, guests can embark on a variety of itineraries exploring Western Europe, the Norwegian Fjords, and Norway and the North Cape, as well as a cruise that includes Norway, Iceland, and the United Kingdom, giving them the opportunity to visit some of Europe's most iconic destinations. For the Western European itineraries, guests can embark in Amsterdam, with Southampton (London) being another possible port of embarkation, where they can also embark on the Norwegian Fjords cruises.
In addition, the cruise line will bring back to Europe for the first time since its delivery in 2014 the Norwegian Getaway, currently the second newest ship in the fleet, giving guests the opportunity to experience the ultimate in freedom and flexibility on Baltic Capitals cruises, departing from or returning to Copenhagen or Warnemünde (Berlin).
Three more ships will sail European waters in 2017, including the newly refurbished Norwegian Epic with its popular 7-night Western Mediterranean itinerary, departing from Barcelona, Civitavecchia (Rome), or Marseille. The Norwegian Spirit will alternate between 11-night and 10-night Mediterranean itineraries between Barcelona and Venice, while the Norwegian Star, after returning from Australia, will spend the summer sailing from Venice to the Greek Islands and will also tour the Adriatic, Greece, and Turkey. The new itineraries will go on sale in mid-February 2016.
The Norwegian Escape, the newest ship in the fleet, launched last October, will spend the summer of 2017 alternating 7-night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Miami, beginning May 6. The Eastern Caribbean itinerary includes stops in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Nassau, Bahamas, while the Western Caribbean cruise will visit Roatán in Honduras, Harvest Caye, Norwegian's private destination in Belize, as well as Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico.
