Its luxury line begins the new year with executive appointments and new savings opportunities for passengers.
Crystal Cruises has entered 2016 with a bang, boasting recent executive appointments and new cost-saving opportunities. This news follows a highly successful year, driven by a significant restructuring of the company. This restructuring has resulted in substantial expansion, including the launch of Crystal Yacht Cruises and the announcement of new awards for its ocean-going vessels: Crystal River Cruises, Crystal Luxury Air, and Crystal Exclusive Class.
Former Vice President of International Sales and Marketing, Phillip Ordever, will now serve as Vice President and General Manager of Crystal River Cruises, responsible for developing and leading the sales strategies and marketing functions necessary for the company's expansion. Following Ordever's strategic shift, a cruise industry veteran, Helen Beck, has been appointed as his successor and the new Vice President of International Sales and Marketing.
Ordever will inform the Chief Operating Officer, Thomas Mazloum, and the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Carmen Roig, of the changes to the team. She will also announce that Crystal River Cruise's headquarters will be located in Amsterdam.
“During Phillip’s 12 years with Crystal, he has demonstrated the great success of his business initiatives, and I am confident he will excel in his new role within the Crystal River Cruises division,” said Crystal CEO and President Edie Rodriguez. “I am also very grateful to have such talented Helen as our International Sales and Marketing Leader. Her experience in this area is invaluable as we launch new luxury experiences on our cruises.”.
Beck will assume responsibility for leading and promoting the various initiatives proposed within the international sales and marketing division. She will also manage the work of Crystal's sales managers globally. She will report directly to Roig and will be based in the United Kingdom. Thanks to her thirty years of experience and her fluency in French, German, and Spanish, Beck has managed and led more than 16 international representatives in over 40 countries. Her first day at Crystal was February 2, 2016.
For its guests, the improvements that Crystal is launching translate to:
– More opportunities to travel to new destinations in different ways, while maintaining the luxury standards for which the company is already known.
– New offers and new savings opportunities, thanks to the newly launched “Book Now” proposal, which will have a deadline of February 29, 2016.
“A cruise aboard Crystal Cruises is always a safe bet, and what better way to start 2016 than by enjoying the savings and benefits we offer,” says Rodríguez.
