Costa Cruises has recently launched its new pricing system, notable for its simplicity and designed to reward passengers who book their vacations in advance. With this new model, which puts the customer at the heart of the company's strategic decisions, Costa once again demonstrates its pioneering spirit in the cruise market.
“The new pricing model we are introducing is the result of extensive work to reward early bookings and offer better benefits to our customers,” says María Jesús García, General Manager of Costa Cruises in Spain and Portugal. She adds, “Likewise, with this new system characterized by transparency and simplicity, we hope to help generate more traffic for travel agencies, thus maintaining and strengthening our commitment to our key strategic partners.”
Coinciding with the new “Welcome to Happiness Squared” communication campaign, this new pricing system comes into effect for all cruises departing from June 1, 2016, onwards.
Four new fares are available to suit every customer's needs,
with Comfort and Comfort Advanced being the most attractive options. Designed for cruisers who like to plan their vacations in advance and who also seek the best value for money. Both fares apply to all cabins, in both the Classic and Premium packages. Those booking with the Premium package can choose their dinner seating and will have complimentary 24-hour cabin service. Furthermore, Costa guarantees the best price on all bookings. With the Comfort, available from 89 days before departure until the day of departure, the cruise line offers a 30% discount on beverage packages purchased before the cruise and a 20% discount on beverage packages purchased on board. The Comfort Advanced is available from the cruise's on-sale date until 90 days before departure, and with it, passengers will enjoy even more attractive benefits, including the "Più Gusto" beverage package in Premium bookings and the "Pranzo & Cena" beverage package in Classic bookings.
For those seeking exclusive treatment, top-notch service, and a cruise filled with privileges, the Deluxe fare is for you. Available from the start of cruise sales until departure day, and for Suite and Samsara Suite cabins, the Deluxe fare guarantees the best price for the cruise, includes the "Intenditore" beverage package, offers maximum personalization, and provides additional in-cabin amenities. Passengers booking this fare also enjoy access to the club restaurant and in-cabin butler service. Samsara Suite guests have unlimited access to the Spa, while Suite guests enjoy 24 hours of complimentary Spa access.
For passengers prioritizing price, the Basic fare is for you. Available from the start of cruise sales until departure date, the Basic fare applies to bookings where cabin assignments are based on availability a few days prior to departure.

Along with the announcement of the new fare system, Costa has unveiled the new Costa Club rules for its most valued customers. Starting in January, the 5% frequent guest will be replaced by a significantly larger number of Privilege Sailings (1 in 3), offering discounts of between 10% and 20%.

Cruises are an ideal vacation option for families, thanks to their comfort and comprehensive appeal for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest. Costa rewards families who book with the cruise line by making Comfort and Deluxe fares compatible with the "kids cruise free" promotion on available sailings. This means that children under 18 will receive the "Giovani" beverage package included if they share a cabin with two adults and will only pay port taxes, any flights, service charges, and travel insurance, if applicable.
