Verandah restaurant arrives at the Queen Mary 2

Cunard Line has announced that the Verandah restaurant will be added to the dining options on the Queen Mary 2 during its multi-million dollar refurbishment in 2016.
The Verandah restaurant will be added to the cruise line's flagship while it is in dry dock from May 27 to June 21, 2016. The new restaurant will be operational once the ongoing upgrades are complete. The Verandah restaurant will open exactly 80 years after Cunard's first Verandah Grill arrived on the Queen Mary in 1936.
Richard Meadows, President of Cunard North America, said:
“We are proud to continue the legacy of our oldest ships while adapting it for today's more discerning travelers. The current Verandah concept will be a must-try dining experience on every voyage.”
The Verandah will replace the current onboard restaurant, Todd English. A new French cuisine will be introduced. An additional charge will be added to lunch and dinner.
During dinner, guests will feel as if they are still in the old Verandah Grill of the former ocean lines.
The Verandah will also be the signature restaurant on the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria. The Queen Mary 2 will see a host of improvements and new spaces during its refurbishment. At the beginning of December, Cunard Line revealed details of the upgrades to the King's Court casual buffet.
The cruise line will reveal more details soon about the new features taking place in the coming months.
