This initiative, part of CLIA's Executive Partner Program, will take place from January 8-11, 2016, aboard the MSC Preziosa.
As part of ongoing enhancements to its Executive Partner Program, the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) is launching Summit At Sea, a new educational and networking. The event, held aboard the MSC Preziosa from January 8-11, 2016, is aimed at CLIA Executive Partners and member cruise lines.
Summit At Sea will include visits to four ports of call in the Western Mediterranean over three nights and will also provide a new platform for engaging industry peers and 20 cruise line executives. Among the various cruise line executives attending Summit at Sea are All Leisure Group, Carnival Corp. & Plc, Disney Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, and Silversea Cruises.
“Summit at Sea represents a fantastic opportunity for industry leaders to delve into the cruise community,” said Pier Francesco Vago, CLIA Europe President and Executive Chairman of MSC Cruises. “MSC Preziosa provides the perfect setting to host this initiative, and we are delighted to be able to host this innovative event.”
The Summit will also offer a range of educational content covering topics such as port development and operations, destination and itinerary planning, the environment, safety and security, port facility inspections, and shore excursions, among others.
“Summit at Sea is just one example of the extensive and growing variety of events that CLIA offers to our community,” said CLIA Interim Chair Cindy D’Aoust. “This summit reinforces the advantages that CLIA offers its members. Furthermore, we will continue working to offer opportunities like this that allow members to learn about the industry firsthand and engage with other partners.”
