To coincide with Universal Children's Day, MSC Cruises is reviewing the most significant initiatives it has undertaken and the facilities it has built with children in mind.
Upon boarding, every child becomes a member of the DOREMILAND crew, with five special clubs: Baby (0-3 years), the Mini Club for sailors aged 3-6, the Juniors Club for pirates aged 7-11, the Young Club for pre-teens, and the Teens Club for older children. All clubs are designed to give children the freedom to explore and socialize under the supervision of ship's experts, and offer a wide range of activities and games, including arts and crafts, sports, dance classes, and video games.
Innovative activities such as "Fun Time Dinner," "Happy Dinners," and the "Kids Around the Clock" service allow the whole family to make their own plans—even at mealtimes, in the evening, or during shore excursions. This gives children the opportunity to develop their social life and make friends from all over the world in a safe and comfortable environment.
On board, children can also find the Chicco , specially selected by the Baby Research Institute “Osservatorio Chicco.” Activities include “Let’s Speak English,” “Rhythm and Music,” and “Mini Olympics.”
In addition, every day, children aged 3 to 11 can play with a fantastic selection of LEGO® in the Mini and Junior Clubs. On each cruise, younger children have the opportunity to participate in the special “LEGO® Experience on Board” event: a day packed with LEGO fun and activities.
Furthermore, all ships in the MSC Cruises are equipped with a water park, swimming pools, and a water slide, and feature gaming consoles such as the PS3, Xbox, and Wii. Onboard attractions also include the Virtual World Room and the 4D Cinema.
This Christmas, the little ones can have an even better time with special activities on board MSC Cruises, ranging from a Christmas Parade, a Family Disco, a Flashmob, a Young Talent Competition, and a Christmas Ball. The icing on the cake is that MSC Cruises' Santa Claus will be handing out Chicco and LEGO gifts to all the children!
Finally, regarding special offers and packages, it's worth noting that during the winter of 2015-2016, children under 18 travel free in a cabin shared with two adults. From summer 2016 onwards, children under 13 will travel free, also in a cabin shared with two adults.
