More than 50 third-grade students from the Giner de los Ríos Public School in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria toured the Sovereign cruise ship this morning. Pullmantur Cruisesis a leading cruise line in Spain. This visit is part of 'Captain for a Day,' a fun and educational initiative promoted by the cruise line in collaboration with schools. The program aims to show students what a cruise ship is like and how daily life unfolds on board.
During their visit, the students, along with their chaperones and Sovereign staff, toured the ship's facilities and experienced firsthand what life is like aboard a cruise ship. They also enjoyed the activities organized for them by the entertainment team.
After the stop in Las Palmas, the Sovereign begins a seven-day journey across the Atlantic Ocean that will take it to Salvador de Bahia (Brazil) where the Brazilian season will begin.
Sovereign ship
The ship has a capacity for 2,733 passengers in its 1,162 cabins spread across 12 decks. It also features a climbing wall, paddle tennis court, gym, spa, two swimming pools, jacuzzis, restaurants such as Wu Fusion and Bar Lounge, several bars, as well as a casino, nightclub, library, and duty-free shops.
