MSC Cruises, the world's largest privately owned cruise company and a leader in the Mediterranean, South America, and South Africa, has received numerous awards in various markets in 2015. So far this year, travel publications and customers have bestowed 30 awards and accolades upon MSC Cruises, a testament to the company's dedication to continuously improving and strengthening its offerings, meeting demands, and providing the best possible vacation experience.
In Spain, MSC Cruises garnered accolades from various players in the travel industry, including "Cruise Line of the Year" from the renowned Condé Nast Traveler magazine and "Best Ship in the Mediterranean" for MSC Divina at the Cruises News Excellence Awards. Meanwhile, in Ireland, MSC Cruises was named “Best Cruise Line” at the Travel Media Awards in Dublin. The award, voted on by Irish tourism media outlets, both national and trade, further demonstrated the strength of the brand and the company's profile in the market.
In the United States, MSC Cruises' reputation and recognition among industry professionals and customers has steadily grown in recent years. In 2015, the North American Cruise Editors' Picks Awards recognized MSC Cruises as having the "Best Standard Staterooms" (Ocean View/Balcony) across its entire fleet. Additionally, MSC Divina was awarded "Best Show Production" at the Porthole Cruise Magazine Awards for its production of "Bruges of Paris." Specifically, Cruise Critic has featured MSC Cruises ships in articles about cruise ship decor, the best wine bars, the best Italian restaurants at sea, the best water parks on cruise ships, and the best nightclubs. Furthermore, Fodor Travel has named MSC Divina one of the best cruise ships for children.
MSC Cruises is the leader in the South American market, and has up to five ships that will spend the Southern Hemisphere summer in Brazilian waters in 2015/2016. This year, MSC Cruises Brazil, following a survey conducted by residents of São Paulo, was chosen as the best cruise option by Revista São Paulo, a widely circulated magazine in the region.
In Portugal, MSC Cruises won “Best Cruise Company” at the Publituris Portugal Trade Awards 2015, the annual award for Portuguese tourism, organized by Publituris, the country's leading trade newspaper.
Finally, in 2015, the Cruise Industry News Annual Report 2015-2016 declared MSC Cruises the number one cruise line in Europe, including the Mediterranean. The report, one of the most reputable sources of information for the industry, stated that MSC Cruises achieved its leading position thanks to its extensive operations across the continent, carrying approximately 1.1 million passengers.
