MSC Voyagers Club reinforces the company's commitment to offering its customers the best services across its entire fleet.
MSC Cruises today announced the launch of MSC Voyagers Club, the company's new loyalty program that rewards experienced travelers and strengthens its ongoing commitment to providing its customers with an exceptional experience throughout the year, before, during and after their trip.
MSC Voyagers Club rewards cruisers' passion for adventure and their love of discovering new places. Joining MSC Voyagers Club is free, and you can even join before boarding – all you need is your booking confirmation. Personalized membership cards will be available to MSC Voyagers Club members at the start of each voyage and will be distributed on board the ship.
MSC Voyagers Club points are earned based on the onboard experience chosen when booking with MSC Cruises:Bella, Fantastica, Aurea, or MSC Yacht Club. Additionally, onboard services and prepaid expenses will earn you extra points.
The range of privileges offered to MSC Voyagers Club members includes, among others, exclusive events, gifts, exclusive onboard offers, priority boarding, and check-out for Black category members. All of this comes with a level of attention and care that is only possible from a family-run company that attends to every last detail.
From July 20, 2015, MSC Voyagers Club members will receive an exclusive 5% discount on all cruises. In addition, a wide range of cruises—called Voyagers Selection—will be available exclusively to MSC Voyagers Club members and booked in advance, offering a cumulative discount of up to 15%. Furthermore, Silver, Gold, or Black members who book a Voyagers Selection will receive €50 in onboard credit per adult.
MSC Cruises rewarded its most loyal customers by opening sales for MSC Meraviglia —the company's first new-generation ship, currently under construction at STX France—exclusively to MSC Voyagers Club members from June 22 to July 5, allowing them to book this extraordinary experience two years in advance. This is yet another example of how MSC Cruises provides the best possible service to its customers.
In addition, prospective customers who have travel loyalty programs with other companies will receive similar benefits when they join MSC Voyagers Club. Travelers who enroll in the new Club will automatically acquire the same, similar, or higher status in MSC Voyagers Club, as well as a guaranteed 5% discount on any booking.
The enhancements to the loyalty program complement MSC Cruises' commitment to providing the best travel experience while partnering with multiple leading global brands. Examples include partnerships with theLego Group and Chicco, stemming from the company's dedication to creating unforgettable holidays for children and families. A partnership with the Italian restaurant brand Eataly, which promotes high-quality food and adds the luxury of Italian cuisine, based on exceptional ingredients, to its rich offering of international and Mediterranean gastronomy, as well as its partnership with Samsung and Expo 2015—of which MSC Cruises is the official cruise line—also reflect innovation in gastronomy and technology. Furthermore, the company recently announced a new alliance with Etihad Airways to offer its customers MSC Cruises' winter itineraries in the United Arab Emirates.
MSC Cruises, which has grown by 800% since 2004, carried 1.67 million passengers in 2014 and reported strong financial results with a turnover of €1.5 billion. MSC Cruises also anticipates further growth of 10% for 2015.
In 2014, as part of its €5.1 billion expansion plan, MSC Cruises ordered up to seven prototypes of ultra-modern, state-of-the-art ships from Fincantieri and STX France, which will be delivered between 2017 and 2022.
The first ship, to be delivered by STX France in 2017 and named MSC Meraviglia, will spend its first summer sailing the Western Mediterranean and will be the first to have three homeports: Genoa, Marseille, and Barcelona. The first ship, built at the Fincantieri shipyard, will be named MSC Seaside and will sail year-round in 2017 from the recently renovated and expanded PortMiami.
MSC Meraviglia will be the largest and most innovative cruise ship ever built by a global cruise company, headquartered in Europe. The state-of-the-art ship, with a capacity for 5,700 passengers and a displacement of 167,600 GRT, will spend its maiden summer sailing the Western Mediterranean. Ideally designed for year-round use, MSC Meraviglia sets new standards in maneuverability, enabling it to dock in any port worldwide. This allows travelers from over 150 countries to explore top destinations aboard the company's next-generation ships. Sales for the innovative, 315-meter-long new-generation vessel opened on June 22nd exclusively for MSC Voyagers Club members, and then opened to the general public on July 5th to meet the high demand from other customers and travelers.
With a gross tonnage of 154,000 and a capacity for 5,179 guests, MSC Seaside will be the largest ship ever built at the Fincantieri shipyard. Construction is scheduled to begin in November 2017, and the ship will be christened in Miami in December of that year—the first time an MSC Cruises ship has been christened in the United States. Sales of cruises aboard MSC Seaside will begin in November 2015, two years prior to its launch, to meet the high demand from cruise enthusiasts.
