The CLIA Port & Destination Summit will be held in Hamburg, ahead of the SeatradeEuropeCruise&RiverCruise Convention.
It has been extended to two days to allow cruise line representatives and CLIA Executive Partners to address topics of particular relevance to ports and destinations.
CLIA has opened registration for its second Port & Destination Summit, which will take place from September 8-9. Following a successful inaugural summit in Barcelona last September, CLIA will hold its 2015 event in Hamburg, one day before the city hosts the Seatrade Europe Cruise & River Cruise Convention, the largest gathering of the cruise industry in Europe, which will be held from September 9-11.
CLIA's Port & Destination Summit will be a full day of events where delegates will have the opportunity to engage in open dialogue on topics relevant to ports and destinations, as well as to network at a high level. On September 9, the summit will continue with a Business Exchange session, where delegates will have the opportunity to pre-book one-on-one meetings with cruise line executives.
To date, 24 executives representing 21 different cruise lines have confirmed their attendance, and that number is expected to increase in the coming weeks. These executives are working in the areas of port operations, port development, shore excursions, and itinerary planning.
The Port & Destination Summit is a key event on the CLIA Executive Partner Program calendar. This recently enhanced program offers specific value and the opportunity to network with diverse companies and organizations actively working in the cruise industry.
Earlier this year, CLIA hosted its first Technical & Regulatory Forum as well as its first Port & Destination Forum, both held in London.
