Last Sunday, May 10th, at 7:00 AM, the luxury cruise ship Celebrity Equinox arrived in Alicante for the first time.
The cruise ship came from Malaga and departed at 4:00 PM for the Port of Barcelona.
It is customary for a welcome event to be held on board the ship during its first port of call in Alicante. In this instance, the captain of the Celebrity Equinox, Captain Panos of Greece, received Luis López Pastor, Head of the Commercial and Cruise Unit of the Alicante Port Authority, and Francesco Balbi, Director of Operations of the Alicante Cruise Terminal, for the exchange of plaques.
The Celebrity Equinox, belonging to the Celebrity Cruises line, carries 2,732 passengers and 1,250 crew members. The passengers are of American and British nationality.
This vessel weighs approximately 121,878 gross registered tons, with a length of 317.2 meters, a beam of 36.9 meters, and a draft of 8.3 meters.
