Royal Caribbean International's newest ship, the Anthem of the Seas, has set sail from Southampton, UK, where it was christened last Monday in a ceremony attended by media and travel agents from around the world.
The Quantum-class vessel, which began its inaugural season yesterday, arrives in Spain with exciting new facilities and activities at sea for passengers of all ages. From iFLY's Ripcord(an exhilarating skydiving experience) to the North Star(a glass capsule that lifts visitors more than 90 meters above the sea), and including futuristic entertainment and cutting-edge technology, such as robotic waiters and high-speed internet,
the Anthem of the Seas will offer itineraries throughout Europe and the Mediterranean this spring and summer. On April 24, the world's most revolutionary ship will arrive in Spain for the first time, stopping in Vigo before continuing on to Gijón and Bilbao. In addition, the brand-new ship will dock in the ports of Barcelona, Málaga, Cádiz, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, A Coruña, Cartagena, Ibiza, and Palma de Mallorca throughout the season.
With the arrival of autumn, it will cross the Atlantic to Cape Liberty, New York, where it will establish its home port for sailing to the Caribbean, Bermuda, Canada, and New England.

The Anthem of the Seas also features Dynamic Dining, Royal Caribbean's revolutionary new culinary program that offers passengers a wide range of options and complete flexibility without fixed schedules, "gala" nights, or assigned seating.
