The Britannia cruise ship made a visit of more than 10 hours to the Port of Alicante with a total of 4,891 people, 3,523 passengers and 1,368 crew members.
The Alicante Cruise Terminal was filled with life, equipped with souvenir stalls and local products as well as a photographic exhibition to welcome passengers and crew.
The Britannia is one of the largest cruise ships in the Mediterranean and belongs to the Carnival Group. The vessel was launched just a few days ago in Southampton, United Kingdom. The ship has a gross tonnage of 143,730 and measures 330 meters in length, 38 meters in beam, and has a draft of 8.3 meters.
The ship's captain, David Pembridge, was received by the delegation of representatives from the City, Port Authority, Maritime Authority, Port Foundation, Britannia's consignee and the Cruise Terminal.
The Britannia left the Spanish port at 6:00 PM and will return to Alicante in June and October of this year.
