On April 13th, construction began on Seabourn's newest luxury cruise with a commemorative ceremony where the first laser cut of the metal that will form part of the hull of the new Seabourn Encore was made.
The ceremony, held at the Fincantieri Shipyard in Marghera, Italy, was attended by Seabourn Chairman Richard Meadows and Fincantieri Director Antonio Quintano.
Also present were two crew members from the Seabourn Legend, which will leave the company this year, symbolizing the end of one era and the beginning of another for Seabourn with this new generation of ships.
