After undergoing the Renaissance Program, the MSC Cruises ship will make itineraries around the Canary Islands.
The Port of Santa Cruz de La Palma today welcomed the refurbished MSC Armonia, a ship from MSC Cruises, the leading Mediterranean cruise company, after undergoing extensive renovations in recent months as part of the company's Renaissance Program. Following its stop in the port of La Palma, the newly refurbished MSC Armonia will continue its voyage to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where it will resume its itinerary with stops in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Casablanca, Agadir, and Arrecife, Lanzarote.
The welcome ceremony, held today at the Port of Santa Cruz de la Palma aboard the MSC Armonia, was attended by representatives of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Port Authority (which manages the Port of Santa Cruz de La Palma), municipal and island authorities, as well as representatives of MSC Cruises, who expressed their satisfaction at welcoming the newly renovated MSC Armonia and its subsequent stay in the Canary Islands. MSC Cruises has a strong connection with the ports of the Canary archipelago and a long history of embarkations, which confirms the company's satisfaction with the Canary Islands' port infrastructure and its ongoing process of change and improvement. In fact, MSC Cruises has scheduled around twenty embarkations during the 2014/2015 season.
MSC Armonia has become the first ship in MSC Cruises' Lirica class to undergo the €200 million Renaissance Program, which has added 193 new cabins and enhanced comfort, entertainment areas, and onboard services. After departing from the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy on November 17, the refurbished MSC Armonia embarked on an extraordinary inaugural Mediterranean cruise from Genoa to the Canary Islands, where it will remain until April 2015, offering weekly itineraries to the Canary Islands and Morocco.
