There will be boat trips to bring port activity closer to the public. An exhibition about the port's past, present, and future will also be set up at Casa Pinillos.
The Port of the Bay of Cadiz will hold an Open Day with the aim of bringing the port authority closer to the public and conveying the importance of port activity in economic development, as well as safety and environmental protection, and informing them of the port's future plans.
The Open Day will feature two main attractions: firstly, an exhibition on the past, present, and future of the Port of the Bay of Cádiz, where, among other attractions, some of the archaeological remains discovered during the construction of the New Container Terminal will be displayed for the first time. Secondly, boat trips around the Bay will be organized throughout the day to showcase the port facilities.
Exposure
In collaboration with the Cádiz Provincial Delegation for Education, Culture and Sport, the third floor of Casa Pinillos will host the exhibition in June, which will be open to the public free of charge from the 1st to the 30th of that month. It will be a unique opportunity to see for the first time some of the discoveries made during the construction of the new terminal, as well as to learn more about the port's future projects, which will be presented in 3D audiovisual format.
Boat trips
The open day itself will be held on Saturday , June 27, 2015. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., a catamaran will depart every 45 minutes for a guided tour of the bay.
The trips will be free.
