To celebrate its success at this year's World Travel Awards, the cruise line will reward those who book Caribbean and European cruises with an onboard credit of $100 per cabin.
Norwegian Cruise Line has once again been named “Caribbean’s Leading Cruise Line” at the World Travel Awards. The 21st annual awards, announced on Saturday, October 25, recognize the world’s best travel companies for the quality of their products and services. Voting is open to both travel agents and customers worldwide. Norwegian Cruise Line, which this year received the award for “Europe’s Leading Cruise Line” for the seventh consecutive year, as well as the title of “World’s Leading Large-Ship Cruise Line” in 2012 and 2013, boasts nine spectacular ships designed around Freestyle Cruising that will sail the Caribbean this winter from five homeports. The Norwegian Getaway, the company’s newest ship, sails year-round in the Caribbean from Miami, and the Norwegian Jewel is sailing again from Houston for the first time since 2007.

Similarly, Norwegian Cruise Line has also been recognized at the 27th annual Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards in the United States. The cruise line won second place in the "Large Ship Line" category and third place in the "Midsize Cruise Ship Line" category.
To celebrate its success at this year's European and Caribbean World Travel Awards, Norwegian Cruise Line has launched a new promotion for its cruises of five nights or more in Europe and the Caribbean. Guests booking between November 5 and 25, 2014, will receive a $100 onboard credit per stateroom to spend on any occasion, such as spa treatments, shore excursions, dining at specialty restaurants, and more.
Guests looking to escape to the Caribbean this winter can sail aboard Miami's flagship, the Norwegian Getaway, which cruises the Eastern Caribbean from Miami year-round, offering seven-night cruises. The cruise line's newest ship visits the tropical ports of Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Nassau, Bahamas. Onboard, guests enjoy a Miami-inspired lifestyle, exceptional dining and entertainment, and the unparalleled recreational areas of The Waterfront and 678 Ocean Place. This innovative concept offers a unique and unforgettable connection to the sea and includes an open-air promenade lined with restaurants, bars, and shops, combined with three expansive, interconnected decks featuring restaurants, bars, entertainment options, a casino, and other leisure spaces.
Between November 9, 2014, and April 12, 2015, guests can enjoy cruises aboard the company's largest ship, the Norwegian Epic, named "Best Global Cruise Ship" by Travel Weekly readers for two consecutive years and "Best Ship for Day Trips" by Cruise Critic. The Norwegian Epic will sail the Western Caribbean from Miami, with itineraries including Ocho Rios, Jamaica; George Town, Grand Cayman; and Cozumel, Mexico. Another ship sailing the Caribbean from Miami is the Norwegian Pearl, which will offer several itineraries in the Eastern Caribbean, the Southern Caribbean, and the Bahamas.
For those looking to travel the Caribbean from Tampa, New York, or New Orleans, Norwegian Cruise Line offers a wide variety of cruises. Starting October 26, 2014, travelers departing from Tampa can do so aboard the Norwegian Sun, which sails Western Caribbean itineraries. The Norwegian Gem offers spectacular 9-night Eastern Caribbean cruises from New York, while the Norwegian Breakaway, New York's flagship, gives guests the opportunity to sail from the Big Apple to the Bahamas and Florida. Beginning November 23, 2014, the Norwegian Dawn will sail from New Orleans to the Western Caribbean, visiting Cozumel, Belize City, Roatán, and the Costa Maya.
The newly refurbished Norwegian Jewel debuted in Houston in mid-October with 7-night Western Caribbean cruises running until April 11, 2015, which include, among other things, a stop at the new Banana Coast/Trujillo port in Honduras, which is notable for its wide white sand beach and the colonial city of Trujillo.
