The ship, belonging to the Celebrity Cruises shipping company, docked at the Transatlantic Pier at about 08.00 and is scheduled to set sail for Lisbon at around 16.00.
It brought on board a total of 2,911 passengers of 36 different nationalities, mostly British, in addition to 1,211 crew members.
More than 4,000 people, including passengers and crew, arrived this morning at the Port of Vigo aboard the Celebrity Eclipse, which docked at the Vigo harbor at about 8:00 a.m. from Southampton.
During its stay in Vigo, the ship, belonging to the Celebrity Cruises line, brought on board a total of 2,911 passengers of 36 different nationalities, mostly British (2,219 passengers), followed distantly by Americans (324 passengers) and Canadians (167 passengers), in addition to 1,211 crew members. It is scheduled to continue its journey to Lisbon around 4:00 PM today.
With a length of 315 meters and a beam of 37 meters, the Celebrity Eclipse was inaugurated in April 2010 and has the capacity to accommodate a total of 2,850 passengers.
It belongs to the Solstice Class and stands out especially for its AquaClass cabins, incorporating special spa elements in the cabins, as well as offering exclusive access to spa services and assigned seating in the Blu restaurant.
Also, the Celebrity Eclipse features, as a major new feature at sea, The Lawn Club, an upper deck with ocean views and 2,000m2of natural grass.
As for onboard dining, the Celebrity Cruises ship has ten exclusive restaurants for any occasion, including four specialty restaurants such as Qsine (international cuisine with a casual and modern approach), Tuscan Grille (Italian grill), Murano (contemporary European cuisine) and Blu (healthy cuisine).
Today's stop comes just four days after its unexpected visit to the Port of Vigo last Friday, where the Celebrity Cruises ship decided to dock to take shelter from Storm Margit, the first major cyclogenesis of the autumn. It is scheduled to return to Vigo on November 7th.
