Celestyal has unveiled its shore excursion program for its new winter itineraries in the Eastern and Western Mediterranean, with 190 experiences available to book from today.
The launch includes 118 excursions for the Celestyal Discovery, within its new program for the Western Mediterranean for the winter seasons 2026/27 and 2027/28, in addition to 72 excursions for the Celestyal Journey, corresponding to its winter program 2027/28 for the Eastern Mediterranean.
The offer includes half-day, full-day and two-day options, plus 27 new “Authentic Encounters”, which allow you to meet the local population and discover different attractions of each destination in smaller groups.
The program also incorporates a new proposal called "Connection with local communities", designed to go beyond traditional tourist visits and bring passengers closer to the people, producers and local communities that give life to each destination.
To mark the launch, the company is offering a 15% discount on all excursions in the new Celestyal Discovery Western Mediterranean winter program, valid for departures until the end of 2026, for bookings made before September 30, 2026.
Among the proposals, the following stand out:
- “Mamas and Tapas,” a full-day excursion within the “Authentic Encounters” category, departs from Málaga and travels into the heart of Andalusia. The experience includes a visit to an olive oil mill and a meeting with residents of the mountain village of Alfarnate, where passengers will be welcomed into their homes to enjoy a traditional five-course lunch.
- The “Artisan Cheese Tour & Workshop” is a half-day excursion from Cádiz that takes passengers to the town of El Bosque. There, they can meet local cheese producers, participate in a hands-on workshop, and taste cheeses made with milk from farms in the Sierra de Grazalema.
- “Carcaixent Citrus Plantation & Spirit Tasting,” a half-day excursion in the “Connecting with Local Communities” category, departs from Valencia and travels to the rural area of Carcaixent. The visit includes a family-run citrus farm dating back to 1870, an introduction to traditional orange cultivation techniques, tastings of fresh juice, artisanal jams and orange blossom honey, as well as citrus liqueurs from the region.
The program is rounded out with other experiences such as a practical tagine cooking workshop in Tangier, a private flamenco and tapas experience in Cadiz, workshops related to the Fallas of Valencia, a gastronomic tour of the Mercat de l'Olivar in Palma, a gastronomic experience in Istanbul and a trip on the historic mountain railway from Volos.
Janet Parton, Vice President of Marketing, Public Relations, and Customer Experience at Celestyal, points out that for the company, an authentic Mediterranean experience “has always been much more than simply arriving at a destination and visiting its most famous landmarks.” In this regard, she emphasizes the importance of getting to know the people who live in each place and understanding the traditions that have helped shape it.
Parton adds that winter is a particularly appealing time to discover the Mediterranean, thanks to a more relaxed pace and the opportunity to enjoy destinations at a more tranquil pace. Through new excursions and the "Connecting with Local Communities" initiative, the company aims to connect passengers with local life and traditions while simultaneously contributing to tourism that generates value for the people and businesses in the communities visited.
As part of Celestyal's current "No Crowds, Unforgettable, Authentically Mediterranean" campaign, which runs until November 2, 2026, seven-night winter Mediterranean cruises are offered at reduced prices and include all meals on board, a selection of non-alcoholic beverages, Wi-Fi, port taxes and gratuities.
