Concerning Corona situation in Portugal, and particularly in Porto Cruise Terminal, Port of Leixões, we regret to inform that, disembarkation and land licenses are interdicted for cruise passengers and crews.
Following the recent publication of the Joint Order of the Portuguese Ministries of Interior, Health, and Infrastructure and Housing, the Leixões Port Authority implement the interdiction on disembarkation and land permits for passengers and crew at Porto Cruise Terminal, Port of Leixões, except for national citizens.
According to the Order, the Port Authority will:
- Prohibit disembarkation and land permits for passengers and crews of cruise ships in national ports;
- The preceding paragraph shall not apply to Portuguese citizens or the residence permit holders in Portugal.
- Cruise ships are allowed to dock at national ports for supply and maintenance.
- The preceding number one (01) will not affect disembarkation in exceptional cases, subject to authorization from the health authority.
These prohibitions take effect from 00:00 on March 14, 2020 until April 9, 2020, and may be extended depending on the evolution of the epidemiological situation.
