2019 will be a big year for AmaWaterways, which will introduce not one, not two, but three new ships. The AmaMora, a sister ship to the AmaLea and AmaKristina, will offer a selection of Rhine itineraries, while AmaDouro will make its debut in Portugal and on the Douro River, based in Porto.
The revolutionary AmaMagna will also begin sailing the waters in May 2019 , offering a unique experience on the Danube. It will feature unprecedented facilities, including a selection of restaurants, a Zen Wellness Studio, and a watersports platform, as well as significantly more space for guests than traditional river cruises. The prestigious Berlitz Guide 2018 described it as a “stunning double-width riverboat with much more space, comfort, and dynamism.”

TULIP TIME
During March and April, AmaWaterways celebrates spring in the Netherlands and Belgium as the Keukenhof and Floralia gardens come alive with tulips. The AmaStella, AmaPrima, and AmaKristina will sail along the Dutch and Belgian canals, taking in the vibrant city of Amsterdam, the cruise's starting and ending point, the charming windmills of Kinderdijk, and the art of Rubens and Michelangelo.
On this wonderful 7-day , guests will discover the timeless porcelain tradition of Delft, as well as the medieval architectural treasures of Bruges, Middelburg, and Ghent. Throughout their journey, they will enjoy delicious Belgian chocolate, warm waffles, and tastings of local cheeses.
In Antwerp, flower lovers and gardening enthusiasts can stroll through Floralia, a spring flower show featuring approximately one million bulbs, which are hand-planted by the castle staff each year.
Before the cruise ends in Amsterdam, guests will have the opportunity to visit Keukenhof, one of the world's most impressive public gardens. There, they can witness the spectacle of millions of tulips in bloom across more than 28 hectares and have the privilege of strolling through this legendary garden, open only nine weeks a year and better known as the "Garden of Europe.
