British cruise line Cunard has unveiled a new schedule of 93 voyages to take place between October 2028 and May 2029. The new offering includes round-trip cruises from New York, Caribbean holiday itineraries departing from Miami, and voyages to 104 destinations worldwide.
Among the main attractions are the Queen Mary 2's historic 500th transatlantic crossing, available as a 21-night round trip from New York; the Queen Elizabeth's Caribbean and round-the-world itineraries from Miami; and the Queen Anne's South American exploration voyage, which includes an overnight stopover in Rio de Janeiro during Carnival.
The new schedule encompasses 104 destinations in 49 countries and offers the opportunity to visit 64 UNESCO World Heritage sites. Passengers will enjoy an average stay of 12 hours in port, in addition to 18 overnight stops and 18 late afternoon departures, allowing more time to discover some of the world's most fascinating destinations.
The Queen Mary 2 will make history in Liverpool
The world's only ocean liner will offer a varied program that will include its iconic transatlantic crossings, Caribbean cruises from Southampton and New York, a 14-night itinerary to Norway and the Northern Lights, and a 14-night Western Mediterranean voyage, which can also be booked as a 29-night round trip from New York.
Among the highlights of the Caribbean itineraries are overnight stops in Bridgetown, Barbados, and Philipsburg, St. Maarten. These longer stays will allow passengers to enjoy sunset cocktails and seaside dining in Barbados, or explore Philipsburg's vibrant harbor area after dark.
The season will culminate with the historic 500th transatlantic crossing of the Queen Mary 2, available as a 21-night round trip from New York. Passengers can also embark in Hamburg, Southampton, and Liverpool, with several opportunities to take part in a significant chapter of Cunard's history.
The voyage will also mark the first time since 2015 that passengers can embark on a Cunard transatlantic crossing in Liverpool. This is a particularly significant event for the airline and for the city, considered its spiritual home.
New getaways through Scandinavia aboard the Queen Victoria
Departing from Southampton, the Queen Victoria's itinerary will take it through Scandinavia, Northern Europe, the Norwegian fjords, Spain, Portugal, Morocco and the Canary Islands.
New offerings include seven-, 14-, and 16-night itineraries, including a February cruise with an overnight stop in Oslo and a longer Scandinavian voyage with overnight stays in Copenhagen and Oslo. The season will also feature two seven-night spring cruises, one visiting Spain and France and the other exploring the Norwegian fjords.
Passengers will be able to choose from a wide variety of experiences, from learning about the cultures and cuisines of Spain, Portugal and Morocco to discovering the natural landscapes of the Canary Islands, Scandinavia and Norway.
The Queen Elizabeth's 115-night world tour
After sailing from Barcelona to Miami, the Queen Elizabeth will offer four 14-night Caribbean cruises departing from Miami. The itinerary will include special Thanksgiving and Christmas voyages, as well as a New Year's Eve cruise with fireworks in St. Thomas.
Next, the ship, with a capacity for 2,074 passengers, will embark on a round-the-world trip from Southampton and Miami, which will travel across five continents and visit destinations in New Zealand, Australia, Asia and South Africa.
Passengers will be able to enjoy some of the most iconic places on the planet, from the tranquil islands of the South Pacific to Singapore's famous Michelin-starred street food stalls and the spectacular Table Mountain in Cape Town.
The Queen Elizabeth will return to New Zealand for the first time in four years, with stops in Auckland and Wellington. Other highlights of the itinerary include overnight stays in Cape Town, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Sydney.
The Queen Anne will discover South America
The Queen Anne will return to South America in 2029 with an 86-night exploration voyage from Southampton. Passengers can also embark in Hamburg for an extended 90-night itinerary or choose a 60-night round-trip cruise from Miami.
The trip will combine stops in the Caribbean with a comprehensive exploration of Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Peru, offering the opportunity to experience the cultural, gastronomic and scenic diversity of the region.
One of the most anticipated moments will be the overnight stop in Rio de Janeiro during its famous Carnival. The itinerary will also include overnight stops in Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Valparaíso, and Callao.
Seven first stops for the Queen Anne and the Queen Elizabeth
The schedule includes seven first stops, among them Cunard's first visit to Praia, in Cape Verde.
The Queen Elizabeth will visit Fort-de-France, Martinique, and Nawiliwili, Hawaii, for the first time. Meanwhile, the Queen Anne will make inaugural calls at San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas, in the U.S. Virgin Islands; Castries, St. Lucia; and Colón, Panama.
“Some journeys become stories we tell for years, and this new program brings together some of the most memorable experiences we have ever offered,” said Paul Ludlow, Chairman of Cunard. “The historic 500th transatlantic crossing of the Queen Mary 2 will be one of the most significant moments in Cunard’s recent history and will reconnect Liverpool with our iconic transatlantic service. Together with the Queen Elizabeth’s world cruise and the opportunity to experience Rio Carnival aboard the Queen Anne, these voyages showcase the breadth and richness of the Cunard experience.”.
"Whether passengers are looking for a short European getaway, an iconic ocean crossing, or the adventure of a lifetime, they will find a journey designed to inspire them," he added.
