MSC Cruises will welcome back the MSC Poesia to the port of Miami for the 2026-2027 winter season, with a variety of 10 and 11 night itineraries to destinations in the Caribbean, Central America and South America.
The ship will operate from MSC Cruises' modern cruise terminal in Miami and will join the MSC World America, the MSC Meraviglia , and the MSC Seaside. This will give the company four ships based in Miami during the winter, a record number and a new milestone in its operations in the region.
The 11-night itineraries through the southern and western Caribbean will include regular stops in Ocho Rios and Montego Bay, Jamaica; Cartagena de Indias, Colombia; Colón, Panama; Puerto Limón, Costa Rica; Roatán Island, Honduras; and Belize City, Belize.
Passengers will also be able to discover the southern Caribbean on 10-night cruises, with stops in Oranjestad, Aruba; Kralendijk, Bonaire; Willemstad, Curacao; and Cabo Rojo, in the Dominican Republic.
Other 10-night itineraries will offer visits to George Town in the Cayman Islands; Cozumel in Mexico; Charlotte Amalie in the U.S. Virgin Islands; Basseterre in St. Kitts and Nevis; Philipsburg in Sint Maarten; Saint John's in Antigua and Barbuda; San Juan in Puerto Rico; and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.
Lynn Torrent, president of MSC Cruises for North America, highlighted the importance of the Caribbean within the company's offering and the expansion of options available to travelers.
“The Caribbean remains one of the most sought-after destinations for both North American and international travelers, and we are proud to offer our passengers a wider variety of options to discover the region. With the return of the MSC Poesia to Miami during the winter season, we are expanding our Caribbean offerings with a selection of 10- and 11-night itineraries that allow guests to experience a greater diversity of destinations,” he noted.
Torrent added that the company remains committed to strengthening relationships with the communities that receive its ships and passengers, contributing to the development of local economies and generating new opportunities for tourism growth.
Cruise tourism in the Caribbean continues to grow. According to the 2026 State of the Cruise Industry, published by the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and Bermuda welcomed 16.27 million cruise passengers in 2025, an 8.4% increase over 2024. The region accounted for 44% of the global total of cruise passengers, reinforcing its position as the world's most popular cruise destination.
MSC Cruises continues to strengthen its presence in South Florida and the Caribbean, building on recent investments such as the new MSC Cruises Miami cruise terminal and the headquarters of its North American cruise division, located in the city center.
These investments reflect the company's long-term commitment to the region, as it expands its operations and offers a growing number of passengers the opportunity to discover Caribbean destinations.
