Celestyal has unveiled a new onboard experience program for the Celestyal Discovery's first season dedicated to the Western Mediterranean, which will include new shows, menus inspired by regional cuisine, and activities focused on the destinations it visits.
The proposal will complement the ship's new deployment, with a capacity for 1,360 passengers, which will begin on December 5. The offerings will include culinary experiences, wines, music, and cultural activities inspired by the destinations on the itinerary.
In the gastronomic section, new menus will be incorporated in the main restaurant Thalassa and in Smoked Olive, the exclusive restaurant for suite passengers, in addition to locally inspired dishes in the Taverna buffet.
Among the offerings are Portuguese caldo verde, Spanish gazpacho and churros, Italian arancini, and Moroccan tagines. For the stop in Casablanca, a "Royal Moorish" themed buffet will be served, while the Taverna will feature a ham carving station.
Grill Seekers, the specialty restaurant, will launch a revamped European bistro-style menu featuring classic appetizers, seafood, European cuts of meat, and regional cheeses. Meanwhile, Greek Deli will retain its signature gyros and introduce new regional street food options, such as Spanish omelet and patatas bravas.
The culinary offering will be complemented by a selection of Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian wines, plus a new premium collection, "Iconic Wines of Bordeaux", available at Grill Seekers and Grapevine.
The entertainment program will also include new shows, among which the following stand out:
- "Spanish Passion", a tribute to Spanish music through live singing and dancing performances.
- "Buona Sera Italia", with well-known Italian songs such as Volare, Con te partirò and O sole mio.
- "Long Live the Mediterranean," a musical journey through Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, and Greece.
Passengers will also be able to participate in new cooking demonstrations to discover the region's gastronomy. In addition, thematic talks about the destinations will cover topics such as Spanish olive oil, the spice trade between Spain and Portugal, the argan trees of Morocco, and Pompeii.
Janet Parton, Vice President of Marketing, Public Relations, and Customer Experience at Celestyal, said: “Being authentically Mediterranean is as much about the feelings passengers take away from their holidays as it is about the places they visit. As we expand our presence westward, we want to maintain that spirit while embracing the distinctive character of each destination. The onboard experience should help passengers feel connected to the region, encourage them to discover it, and give them more reasons to explore each place when they disembark.”
The Celestyal Discovery program through the Western Mediterranean will be available during the winter seasons of 2026-2027 and 2027-2028. The 14-night "Mediterranean Odyssey" itinerary includes overnight stays in Barcelona (Tarragona) and Lisbon, as well as stops in Malaga, Gibraltar, Casablanca, Cadiz, Tangier, Valencia, Palma, and Sète.
Passengers can also choose seven-night cruises between Barcelona (Tarragona) and Lisbon, or combine this itinerary with the eight-night "Mediterranean Riviera" trip between Athens and Barcelona (Tarragona) for a 22-night holiday.
Fares include all meals on board, a selection of non-alcoholic beverages, Wi-Fi, port taxes and gratuities.
