AmaWaterways presents AmaMaya, a new level of luxury on the MekongAmaMaya will operate AmaWaterways ' Charms of the Mekong and Riches of the Mekong itineraries , offering passengers an intimate way to discover the cultures, traditions, and landscapes of Vietnam and Cambodia, while enjoying superior accommodations, destination-inspired cuisine, and spaces designed to foster connection and relaxation.

“The Mekong offers a very special way to discover Vietnam and Cambodia, bringing passengers closer to the people and traditions of the region,” says Catherine Powell, CEO of AmaWaterways. “With AmaMaya, we wanted to strengthen that connection by inviting passengers to board a ship inspired by its surroundings and the rivers it sails. It’s contemporary and sophisticated, yet the Indochinese influence is present throughout the ship. It’s a magnificent setting that complements the journey and awakens a spirit of discovery from the moment passengers step on board.”

With a capacity for 120 passengers in 60 cabins—the same number and type of accommodations as its sister ship , AmaDara — AmaMaya brings a fresh design concept to the AmaWaterways fleet on the Mekong. Its contemporary interiors feature subtle elements and details inspired by Indochina, with a design based on the concept of movement, reflecting both the experience of sailing the Mekong and the journey of discovery itself.

Throughout the ship, various comfortable spaces invite you to contemplate the landscapes and enjoy the journey at a relaxed pace.

Passengers will have access to two dining options. The Mekong Restaurant will offer sophisticated cuisine with international and local influences, while The Chef's Table, a more intimate specialty restaurant, will feature a multi-course tasting menu. Both menus will showcase Southeast Asian flavors and fresh ingredients, and will cater to vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary preferences.

AmaMaya will also feature a fitness center, an outdoor pool, and three massage rooms. A dedicated Wellness Host will lead exercise and mindfulness activities throughout the cruise, offering passengers a variety of options to combine exploring the destinations with relaxation.
