Crystal has confirmed the contract for the construction of its third next-generation ocean-going cruise ship, by renowned Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri. The vessel, scheduled for delivery in 2034, is part of an option exercised in 2024 and reflects Crystal's continued investment in the future of luxury cruising.
The new ship will join Crystal Grace, currently under construction at Fincantieri's shipyard in Marghera, scheduled to enter service in 2028, as well as its sister ship, due to arrive in May 2031. Together, the three ships will represent the next evolution of Crystal's renowned concept, based on exceptional service, spacious design, and immersive luxury experiences.
Like its sister ships, the new vessel will accommodate 650 guests (based on double occupancy) and will have a gross tonnage of approximately 62,000. Carefully designed by renowned international architectural firms, the ship will feature spacious suites with private verandas, including a lavish Owner's Suite, as well as new categories created to meet the evolving needs and preferences of guests, including solo travelers. All accommodations have been designed to maximize space, comfort, and connection to the sea, complemented by one of the highest crew-to-guest ratios in the luxury cruise segment, ensuring Crystal's signature personalized service.
The ship will blend timeless elegance with contemporary innovation through expansive indoor and outdoor spaces designed for seamless luxury. Guests can enjoy a fully immersive promenade, inspired by the popular boardwalks on Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, as well as inviting outdoor spaces and inviting outdoor areas for relaxation and socializing. Outdoor restaurant terraces will allow guests to savor specialty cuisine al fresco while taking in panoramic ocean views, further reinforcing Crystal's connection between exceptional gastronomy and life at sea.
