The Turkish airline maintained a load factor of over 86% in July and carried 54 million passengers between January and July.
Turkish Airlines ended July 2026 with 9.5 million passengers carried, maintaining a high occupancy rate across its entire network. The company reported a an occupancy rate of 86.5%, according to the traffic data for that month.
International flights reached a load factor of 86.2%, while domestic flights stood at 89.1%.
Capacity also continued to grow. Available seat-kilometers (ASK) increased by 2.7% year-over-year, rising from 25 ,000 million in July 2025 to 25,700 million in July of this year.
The cargo business also saw positive growth. In July, Turkish Airlines carried 203,100 metric tons of cargo and mail, a 4.9% increase compared to July 2025.
54 million passengers in the first seven months
The year-to-date growth is even more significant. Between January and July 2026, Turkish Airlines carried 54 million passengers, a 5.4% increase over the same period the previous year.
The cumulative load factor stood at 84.2%, with 84% on international flights and 85.7% on domestic routes.
During these seven months, available capacity, measured in seat-kilometers (AKO), grew by 4.7%, reaching 161 ,200 million, compared with the 154,000 million recorded a year earlier.
Freight and mail transport showed even greater growth, at 12%, rising from 1.2 million metric tons between January and July 2025 to 1.4 million metric tons during the same period in 2026.
A fleet of 563 aircraft
By the end of July, the Turkish Airlines fleet had reached 563 aircraft, reflecting the expansion in capacity that has accompanied the growth in its passenger and cargo traffic.
The data published by the company consolidates the operations of Turkish Airlines and AJet, its brand specializing primarily in short- and medium-haul flights.
These results thus reinforce Turkish Airlines' position as one of the leading international airlines, with Istanbul serving as a major hub connecting Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and other global markets.
