Azamara Cruises has added “RezA – The Power Behind Confident Booking” as a new module in the Azamara World Academy (AWA). This new self-paced training module is now available to registered travel agents worldwide.
Launched in late 2024, RezA is Azamara’s enhanced booking platform, developed as part of the brand’s “Listening, Learning, and Linking” initiative and met with a very positive response from the travel agent community. The new RezA module within the Azamara World Academy offers comprehensive training on all the platform’s features, from searching for cruises and understanding the different fare types to creating and managing bookings, processing payments and deposits, coordinating group bookings and special services, as well as maintaining guest profiles to streamline future personalized bookings.
The training also highlights the revenue-generating opportunities offered by the platform, allowing agents to easily book value-added services such as ground transfers, pre- and post-cruise hotel stays, and shore excursions. In addition, agents can book a wide range of onboard upgrades directly through RezA—such as specialty restaurants, premium beverage packages, internet access, spa treatments, and shore excursions—thereby helping to enhance their customers’ experience and increase the value of each booking.
Because RezA identifies the agents for each reservation, the platform provides greater visibility into performance, reduces processing errors, and improves consistency in customer service by automatically matching returning guests with their original agent. The result is more accurate allocation of credits and commissions, better business insights, smoother operations, and stronger relationships with agents.
“Travel agents have always been an essential part of Azamara’s success, and investing in their growth remains one of our top priorities,” said Dondra Ritzenthaler, CEO of Azamara Cruises. “The launch of the RezA chapter within the Azamara World Academy reflects our ongoing commitment to listening, learning, and providing our agent partners with the tools they need to succeed. When agents feel confident using our tools, they can create smoother, more personalized experiences for their clients while growing their own businesses—and that benefits everyone.”
