Atlas Ocean Voyages has announced that international wildlife expert, conservation ambassador, and photographer Ron Magill will accompany passengers on the World Traveller on an exclusive 16-night expedition to Antarctica and the Falkland Islands, departing on March 13, 2027.
During the voyage, Magill will enrich the guests’ experience through lectures, nature photography workshops, informal gatherings, and his participation in select Zodiac excursions and shore excursions, offering a unique perspective on one of the planet’s most extraordinary ecosystems and the wildlife that inhabits it.
With more than 45 years of experience dedicated to wildlife conservation, environmental education, and photography, Ron Magill has become one of the most recognized figures in the field.
He is currently an ambassador for the Zoo Miami Foundation, an ambassador for Nikon USA, and the host of the television show *Mundo Salvaje* with Ron Magill. Throughout his career, he has received six Emmy Awards for his educational work and has traveled throughout Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the polar regions documenting wildlife, supporting conservation projects, and inspiring millions of people to appreciate the natural world.
Magill's participation is part of Atlas Ocean Voyages' commitment to offering expeditions that allow travelers to connect more deeply with the destinations they visit. The expedition will depart from Ushuaia (Argentina) and cross the Drake Passage to Antarctica, where passengers will explore glaciers, enormous tabular icebergs, and bays inhabited by penguins, seals, and whales. Each day will include Zodiac boat safaris and landings guided by the Atlas Ocean Voyages expedition team, offering numerous opportunities to observe wildlife in its natural habitat. The itinerary will also include a visit to the Falkland Islands, home to five species of penguins, as well as rich biodiversity, picturesque settlements, and spectacular coastal landscapes that contrast with the icy environment of Antarctica.
Throughout the trip, Ron Magill will offer a full program of exclusive activities, including:
