Regent Seven Seas Cruises is embarking on an ambitious refurbishment project for its Explorer-class ships, which will include larger suites, a new accommodation category, and a reduction in passenger capacity, with the goal of offering an even more exclusive and spacious experience on board.
Following the scheduled dry-docks in 2027 and 2028, the Seven Seas Explorer®, Seven Seas Splendor®, and Seven Seas Grandeur® will go from having 373 suites to just 344, removing 29 suites from each ship to increase the space available to guests.
As part of this transformation, Regent will expand the Veranda Suites, which will become the largest entry-level suites in the ultra-luxury cruise industry, alongside the Deluxe Veranda Suites on the upcoming Prestige class.
The renovated suites will range in size from 415 to 464 square feet (38.5 to 43.1 square meters), compared to the current 307 square feet (28.5 square meters), and will feature walk-in closets, double sinks, and more spacious balconies.

Another major new feature will be the introduction of the Horizon Penthouse Suites, which will debut on the upcoming Seven Seas Prestige™ and will later be added to the Explorer-class ships.
Ranging in size from 616 to 722 square feet (57 to 67 m²), these suites will feature spacious private balconies, an elegant bedroom, a spacious living room, and a full bathroom, combining luxurious interiors with generous outdoor spaces to enjoy the destination.
The renovation will also include the addition of three new Distinctive Suites on each ship, ranging in size from 821 to 918 square feet (76 to 85 m²).
Known as the Explorer Suite, Splendor Suite, and Grandeur Suite, depending on the ship, these exclusive suites will feature a separate bedroom with a King Size Elite Slumber™ bed, a spacious living-dining room, a full bathroom, and an additional half-bath, as well as a large private balcony.
Guests will also enjoy a wide selection of premium services, including floral arrangements featuring fresh orchids, cashmere blankets, in-suite caviar service, a pillow menu, and a personal butler service.
The refurbishment program will begin with the Seven Seas Splendor, which will enter dry dock in November 2027. In 2028, it will be the Seven Seas Explorer’s turn, with its refurbishment set to begin in April, while the Seven Seas Grandeur will complete the program by entering dry dock in October of that same year.
