Villa Vie Residences will expand its fleet with the Legacy, a second residential cruise ship that will enter service in 2029

Villa Vie Residences has announced the addition of Legacy, its second residential cruise ship, scheduled to enter service in early 2029. The new unit will represent a significant step in the company's expansion, coinciding with the commercial success of Villa Vie Odyssey, which has already sold more than 85% of its available residences.

Villa Vie Residences will expand its fleet with the Legacy, a second residential cruise ship that will enter service in 2029The official unveiling of Legacy will take place during the celebration of the second anniversary of the Odyssey sailing nonstop around the world, an event in which the company will reveal the ship's final design, its itineraries, common areas and available ownership options.

According to Villa Vie, Legacy will offer a superior residential experience, with homes approximately 50% larger than those in Odyssey, new dining spaces, larger public areas, expanded wellness facilities, and improved services.

Alongside the announcement of the new ship, the company has unveiled the Legacy Bridge Program, an initiative limited to 24 new owners that will allow them to move immediately aboard the Villa Vie Odyssey and later relocate to an equivalent residence on the Legacy when it enters service, at no additional cost for the transition. The promotion will be available for the first 24 purchases finalized before September 30, 2026.

In addition, current and future owners of the Endless Horizons lifetime residency program will automatically obtain permanent residency rights on the new ship as well, without needing to make a new purchase or pay upgrade fees.

With Legacy, Villa Vie begins a new stage in its growth strategy, whose objective is to develop a fleet of residential cruise ships that offer different options for living at sea, while maintaining its concept of continuous sailing around the world.

“Our goal is not simply to build another ship, but to develop a fleet that offers more choices to our residents and rewards those who believed in this vision from the beginning. Legacy is the first step toward that future,” said company president Mikael Petterson.

The addition of this second ship will strengthen Villa Vie's position within the growing residential cruise segment, a model that combines home ownership with the possibility of traveling the world permanently.
