OneSpaWorld and Azamara Cruises are revamping the spa experience and wellness services across their entire fleet

OneSpaWorld Holdings Limited and Azamara Cruises are revitalizing the onboard spa experience as part of their partnership, which has spanned nearly twenty years. The enhancements will be rolled out progressively across the entire Azamara fleet as each ship enters dry dock as part of the Azamara Forward modernization program. These initiatives reflect both companies’ shared commitment to enhancing the wellness experience for guests and continuing to offer increasingly exclusive and transformative experiences.

OneSpaWorld and Azamara Cruises are revamping the spa experience and wellness services across their entire fleetThe first installations will take place aboard the Azamara Pursuit on August 18, 2026, followed by the Azamara Quest on November 25, 2026, while the remaining ships will receive these upgrades throughout 2027. Each renovation is expected to take between two and four weeks, depending on the scope of the work.

“OneSpaWorld has been a trusted partner of Azamara for nearly 20 years, and together we have continuously worked to elevate the onboard wellness experience. These enhancements reflect our shared vision of combining innovation, personalization, and world-class service to create distinctive experiences that resonate with today’s luxury travelers. As our guests’ expectations evolve, so does our commitment to investing in experiences that enrich every stage of the journey, said Claudio Sammartano, head of onboard revenue at Azamara Cruises.

For his part, Leonard Fluxman, Executive Chairman and CEO of OneSpaWorld, said: “What makes our partnership with Azamara Cruises so special is the spirit of cooperation that drives it. We are always looking for new ways to enhance the spa experience and offer innovative, value-added offerings to our guests. These new developments are yet another example of that commitment and of a partnership that continues to grow stronger.”

The centerpiece of the project will be the expansion of THESANCTUM, Azamara's fleet-wide spa.

The cruise line will allocate new space on board to accommodate two additional treatment rooms: one designed exclusively for couples' treatments and another for individual treatments.

The new couples' suite will allow guests to enjoy any of THESANCTUM's massages and body treatments together in a private and relaxing setting, while the new individual treatment room will increase the spa's capacity and enable it to offer an even more personalized service.

The renovation also includes the creation of a new boutique located at the entrance to THESANCTUM, where guests will find a carefully curated selection of beauty and wellness products from prestigious international brands.

Among them are ELEMIS®, considered the number one British luxury skincare brand, and Kérastase®, the global leader in professional hair care, which will complement the spa and beauty salon services.

The offering will be rounded out with JOU® organic Chinese medicinal herbs, used in THESANCTUM’s acupuncture program, as well as Good Feet® products, designed to improve posture and body alignment and promote an active lifestyle.

This new retail space has been designed as an extension of the wellness experience, allowing guests to incorporate these wellness practices into their daily lives as well.

Another major new feature will be the addition of a comprehensive Medi-Spa program, which will offer advanced cosmetic treatments performed by licensed physicians.

These include:

  • Thermage®, for skin tightening.
  • Restylane®, dermal fillers.
  • Dysport®, a treatment to reduce expression lines.
  • Microneedling, for skin regeneration.

All of them are designed to deliver visible results with minimal recovery time.

In addition, THESANCTUM will offer an intravenous therapy (IV Therapy) service designed to improve hydration, boost energy levels, and promote overall well-being.

The treatment offerings will be led by the NAD+ Longevity IV treatment, considered one of the leading treatments for cellular optimization and healthy aging, along with a wide range of specific therapies based on vitamins and nutrients.

“THESANCTUM has always aimed to offer a deeply personalized and restorative wellness journey on the high seas, and these enhancements allow us to take that vision one step further,” said Martha Brabham, vice president of Design and Refurbishment at Azamara Cruises.

"From the expansion of our treatment spaces to the new specialty boutique and the addition of advanced wellness services, every detail has been designed to help our guests feel their best, connect with themselves, and enjoy a rejuvenating experience during their journey with Azamara."
