The shipping company has issued the following press release
Corazul Cruises Announces Strategic Deployment in Brazil for its Inaugural 2026/2027 Season.
Corazul Cruises has announced a strategic adjustment to its inaugural deployment schedule, whereby the brand will launch its first commercial season directly in Brazil for the 2026/2027 period, postponing its initially planned Mediterranean itineraries. Following a thorough analysis of global maritime trends and distribution data, the company has concluded that the current landscape in South America offers the optimal foundation for a successful and sustainable brand launch.
This decision aligns Corazul's resources with a highly favorable market window in South America. The brand has experienced an exceptionally positive response from the Brazilian tourism sector, with local demand indicators significantly exceeding initial projections. Coupled with a favorable competitive landscape in key regional segments, Corazul has determined that concentrating its fleet in Brazil from the outset is the most effective strategy to ensure the long-term value of the brand, its international customers, and its global distribution network.
Furthermore, this strategic change allows the company to operate in a highly saturated European market and in response to evolving geopolitical factors in the Mediterranean basin, through the proactive reallocation of assets to high-profitability regions.
As a result of this change in its fleet allocation, scheduled departures to the Mediterranean for 2026 will be cancelled. Corazul is implementing a comprehensive customer service program to assist all affected travelers.
Passengers with confirmed reservations will be contacted individually by their booking agents to discuss their preferences. Flexible options will be offered, including the possibility of transferring their reservations to the new Brazilian itineraries or receiving a full refund of the cruise price paid to Corazul.
For immediate assistance during this transition, guests and partners can contact the dedicated support team at support@corazulcruceros.es.
The Mediterranean remains a fundamental component of Corazul's long-term strategic vision. The availability of itineraries and fleet deployment options for the 2027 European season is currently being evaluated, and the company plans to announce the next operational phases in due course. Corazul remains firmly committed to consolidating its position as the leading cruise option designed for Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking travelers worldwide.

The shipping company has sent the following statement to Spanish travel agents
Dear partners:
As we continue with preparations for the launch of Corazul Cruises, we would like to share with you an important update on our startup strategy.
Following a thorough analysis of current market conditions and booking trends, Corazul has decided to start operations directly in Brazil for the 2026/2027 season, instead of launching in the Mediterranean as initially planned.
This decision has been driven by several factors. The current geopolitical environment, combined with lower-than-expected demand and exceptionally strong competition across the European cruise market, has created a challenging landscape for a new operator. At the same time, we have witnessed an overwhelmingly positive response from the Brazilian tourism sector, with demand significantly exceeding our expectations.
Brazil currently represents a unique market opportunity for Corazul. The combination of strong commercial acceptance, excellent support from our travel partners, and the temporary absence of competing vessels operating in key segments of the Brazilian market creates ideal conditions for a successful brand launch. Consequently, we have concluded that focusing our resources on Brazil from the outset is in the best long-term interest of the company, our guests, and our valued distribution partners.
Therefore, all currently scheduled Mediterranean sailings for 2026 will be cancelled. Guests with confirmed bookings will be offered the option to transfer their reservation to one of our Brazilian itineraries or, if they prefer, receive a full refund of all amounts paid, at no cost to them, within 14 days of the cancellation of their contract, in accordance with applicable law and our terms and conditions. We will contact each of you individually in the coming days to confirm the process for handling guest inquiries and refund requests. In the meantime, please direct any urgent inquiries to support@corazulcruceros.es.
Although we understand that this change may be disappointing for those who were hoping to welcome Corazul to the Mediterranean this summer, we are convinced that this strategic decision provides the strongest possible foundation for the successful introduction of our brand.
At this time, no decision has yet been made regarding Corazul's deployment in the Mediterranean for 2027. We are currently evaluating several opportunities and hope to communicate our plans for the 2027 season in the near future.
We remain fully committed to our long-term vision of becoming a leading cruise brand for Spanish and Portuguese-speaking guests, and we look forward to sharing exciting news about our Brazilian program in the coming weeks.
On behalf of the entire Corazul team, we want to thank you for your continued trust, collaboration, and support. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to embarking on this journey together.
Warm regards,
The Corazul Cruises Team
