Explora Journeys presents its new global brand campaign

Explora Journeys unveiled its new global cinematic campaign, developed by McCann Paris and brought to life by award-winning director and photographer Jonas Lindstroem, on February 25 in New York. Designed to challenge traditional cruise conventions, it offers a captivating glimpse into the Explora Journeys experience—one deeply valued by its community of travelers—while inviting a new generation of explorers to completely rethink the concept of luxury travel.

Explora Journeys presents its new global brand campaignAsserting that Explora Journeys occupies a category of its own, the campaign departs from industry-leading imagery and messaging, adopting a playful aesthetic reminiscent of meticulously crafted, subtly eccentric contemporary cinema. Through a series of evocative "Perhaps" moments, the creative direction presents Explora Journeys not simply as a cruise ship, but as a five-star floating hotel where the boundaries of land-based luxury are elegantly transcended. This proposition increasingly positions the brand as unique within the evolving landscape of luxury travel.

The premise behind this new vision is: “The best of everything, everywhere, all at the same time.” By presenting the ship as the ultimate destination, the campaign highlights the unique advantages of a luxury boutique resort on the move.

“We’re suggesting that the most compelling hotel experiences may not be found on land,” says Anna Nash, President of Explora Journeys. “By adopting a more playful and cinematic narrative, we’re inviting discerning guests to view ocean travel from a fresh perspective: one where the ocean is not merely a transit point between destinations, but a space for enrichment, restoration, and personal discovery. The campaign incorporates a deliberate twist: it redefines the very idea of a hotel, proposing that the most captivating destination in hospitality may not be on a street, but rather sailing the seas: fluid, ever-changing, and endlessly inspiring. As we move toward a fleet of six ships at sea by 2028, we’re excited to share this bold new campaign that truly captures the essence of our ‘Ocean State of Mind.’”

Julien Calot, Chief Creative Officer of McCann Paris, states: “The campaign offers a radically new perspective on life at sea, driven by emotion, feeling, and a subtle sense of humor. Fresh, direct, and unlike anything seen before in the industry, it focuses on the sensations that linger long after the journey ends: calm, space, pleasure, movement, and moments of serene joy.”

“At the heart of the campaign’s main film and its many striking images lies a simple yet powerful idea,” says Liam Fearn, Executive Creative Director at McCann Paris. “An Explora Journeys ship is more than just a ship. It’s a place that moves with you, adapts to you, and opens up new perspectives every day.”The campaign comes to life through a cinematic short film, supported by a series of bold and distinctive visuals across television, print, and digital channels, each playing with the evocative power of the word “Perhaps.” A single word that sparks curiosity and personal interpretation: “Perhaps” becomes both question and answer, a subtle provocation to reconsider what ultra-stylish ocean travel can be.

As Explora Journeys continues to solidify its position as the exception to traditional luxury norms, this campaign is more than just a new advertising proposal; it is a creative subversion of the status quo, designed to broaden the horizons of those who already love traveling by sea and, at the same time, to welcome a new generation of discerning guests.

With a global rollout across digital media, television, social media, press and certain outdoor advertising, the campaign marks a firm step towards a new paradigm of hospitality: one in which the ocean ceases to be merely a destination and becomes a state of mind.
