MSC Cruises presents the entertainment activities that will be available at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve starting in January 2026. As part of the cruise line's commitment to providing an exceptional experience for its passengers, these new offerings at Ocean Cay, MSC Cruises' private island in the Bahamas, will provide families with unforgettable memories and unique moments.
Ocean Cay, a former industrial area, is a unique private island destination where guests can relax on eight pristine beaches, explore its stunning turquoise waters, and learn about the MSC Foundation's coral conservation initiatives at the island's new Marine Conservation Center. With overnight stays and stays on select itineraries, guests can also enjoy more time to relax and explore the island.
As an extension of its family onboard program, MSC Cruises will introduce new entertainment options on Ocean Cay starting in January 2026, which will be rolled out in phases over the following months.
The new range of activities will complement the island's existing offerings, from snorkeling and paddleboarding to jet skiing, and will provide guests with more immersive ways to enjoy the private island. The range of new experiences includes:
WELLNESS AND SPORTS PROGRAM
Two professional trainers who work on MSC Cruises ships based in the United States will lead a daily wellness and sports program designed to create an authentic retreat experience on Ocean Cay's beach. From yoga and workout sessions to passengers' favorite sports, they'll have the opportunity to recharge in one of the Caribbean's most stunning destinations.
With activities scheduled throughout the day, the offering will include a fire and ice challenge with hot yoga and ice baths, and sunrise yoga combined with sound healing meditation.
AUGMENTED REALITY TREASURE HUNT
In line with Ocean Cay's commitment to marine conservation, guests can participate in an innovative and educational augmented reality (AR) scavenger hunt designed for all ages. Using their mobile devices or tablets, guests can embark on a digital adventure and discover unique locations around the island through immersive storytelling. The app will guide players to wooden sculptures scattered across Ocean Cay, which can be scanned to activate the AR storytelling feature. Each of these locations is part of an educational scavenger hunt, focusing on a specific ecological challenge and the measures MSC Cruises is taking to address it. Children can also learn about the island's native species, including fish, flora, and fauna.
LEGO® POP-UP
Families will be welcomed to Ocean Cay with a lively LEGO® activity in the Welcome Pavilion, featuring seven LEGO® mascots and MSC Cruises' beloved mascot, Doremi. The pop-up offers a fun and interactive experience for children and families to enjoy together.
