A-ROSA has unveiled new uniforms for its nautical and technical crew, accredited with the Green Button sustainability seal .
The river cruise company commissioned workwear specialists Weitblick, also holders of the Green Button, to design and manufacture the new uniforms, specifically adapted to the requirements of the functions on board.
The garments are made from a durable fabric composed in part of recycled polyester and responsibly grown cotton.
The Green Button, managed by the German government, is a certification label for sustainable textiles, recognized as one of the most reliable in the German textile industry. It establishes mandatory requirements to protect people and the environment during the textile production process.
To obtain Green Button certification , companies must meet strict social and environmental criteria and demonstrate responsibility throughout their textile supply chain by adhering to additional corporate standards. Independent inspection bodies monitor compliance with these standards.
