Celestyal has signed a letter of intent with the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) and AD Ports Group. The agreement, signed at the Arabian Travel Market, will promote Abu Dhabi as a key destination for Celestyal passengers and help increase the cruise line's visibility in the region.
Celestyal already has a seven-day "Amazing Desert" itinerary for 2024, sailing round trip from Doha and stopping in Bahrain, Dubai, Khasab, Sir Bani Yas Island and Abu Dhabi.
The itinerary will begin in November and end in March 2025, with a series of special departures, such as Christmas holiday cruises, and will last for three seasons.
All trips are operated on the 1,260-passenger Celestyal Journey, which joined the company last year, although Celestyal has hinted that the recently acquired and refurbished 1,266-passenger Celestyal Discovery could also join the region for the winter season in the near future.
Due to the popularity of this itinerary, there is currently limited availability on all scheduled departures.
Lee Haslett, Chief Commercial Officer of Celestyal, commented: “It is a great privilege to sign this agreement and we would like to thank DCT Abu Dhabi for their continued support. Our philosophy has always been to take pride in our partnerships and showcase our fabulous destinations, building strong connections with the regions we visit. Abu Dhabi is a truly unique destination, and we are eager to show our passengers everything it has to offer. The cruise sector continues to attract record passenger numbers, and we look forward to a successful first season that highlights the very best of this special region.”
Celestyal's core focus is on creating unforgettable experiences both on land and at sea, with a commitment to showcasing the best of the region to its clients. As part of its award-winning shore excursion offerings, it already features nine excursions in Abu Dhabi that will transport guests to the heart of the emirate, including half-day tours of the best of Abu Dhabi, culinary and cultural explorations, theme park visits, VIP beach days, as well as classic safaris and desert attractions.
The "Amazing Desert" itinerary can now be booked with a reduced deposit and includes a discount for advance purchase of shore excursions, full board, select drinks at meals, and all port charges and tips.
