Viking opens sales for its 2026 season of European river cruises for bookings, amid strong demand.
“Europe remains our most popular destination,” said Torstein Hagen, President of Viking. “We look forward to welcoming more guests, both returning and new, aboard our state-of-the-art ships.”
Some of the itineraries in Europe are:
- Danube Waltz, an eight-day itinerary that reveals the best of these places while leisurely sailing through spectacular landscapes.
- Rhine Escape (8 days; Amsterdam-Basel), an 8-day trip with stops in Amsterdam, Cologne and Basel, this itinerary reveals a rich landscape of beauty and culture.
- Paris and the heart of Normandy, an 8-day round-trip cruise from Paris and a journey that celebrates history, art, gastronomy and customs in the most attractive environments of France.
- Lyon and Provence in 8 days; a journey to witness the beauty that inspired artists like Cézanne and Chagall on this trip along the Rhône.
- Portugal's golden river, a 10-day cruise visiting Lisbon or two of the oldest university cities, Coimbra and Salamanca, plus the Douro Valley, the wine region declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Viking will add 10 more Viking Longships to its river fleet by the end of 2026. Currently under construction, eight of the new vessels will sail Viking's itineraries on the Rhine, Main, and Danube rivers, while two more Viking Longships will join the fleet on the Seine. Five of the new vessels will be delivered in 2025 and the remaining five in 2026.
