The MSC Euribiahas completed its deep-water systems trials over four days in the Atlantic Ocean. It will undergo final fittings at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, before its official delivery to MSC Cruises on May 31.
The ship will be officially launched on June 8 in Copenhagen, Denmark, before embarking on its inaugural season in Northern Europe from its home port of Kiel, Germany. To facilitate passenger embarkation, the company is offering direct flights from Madrid and Barcelona to Kiel.
The MSC Euribia will feature innovative and advanced marine technology, as well as liquefied natural gas to minimize its environmental footprint.
It will also feature a new silhouette with an exclusive, custom-painted artwork on its exterior. Designed by German graphic artist Alex Flämig following an international competition, the recently completed hull artwork aims to encourage discussion about the importance of protecting the delicate and complex ocean ecosystem.

The MSC Euribia is named after the ancient goddess Eurybia, who controlled the winds, weather, and constellations to rule the seas. Flämig’s visual masterpiece, “#SavetheSea,” is a representation of MSC Cruises’ ongoing dedication to the sea and its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
Liquefied natural gas reduces emissions of local air pollutants, such as sulfur oxides, by up to 99%, and nitrogen oxides by up to 85%. It also plays a key role in mitigating climate change.
MSC Cruises is actively involved in several projects to develop and make these technologies viable in collaboration with regulatory bodies, academia, shipyards and industry.
The vessel will also feature: shore power to reduce carbon emissions in port; state-of-the-art wastewater treatment systems designed in accordance with the International Maritime Organization; a comprehensive waste recycling system; an underwater radiated noise management system to limit disturbance to marine life; and a wide range of energy-efficient equipment on board.
MSC Euribia will begin its inaugural season in Northern Europe in June, offering 7-night departures from Kiel (Germany) and Copenhagen (Denmark) to the captivating Norwegian fjords, including Geiranger, Ålesund and Flaam.
