Holland America Line commemorates its 150th anniversary in April 2023, making it one of the world's oldest travel companies. As part of the celebrations, the company is sharing an incredible resource: a database that provides a personal look at the cruise line's role in immigration stories and its close relationship with the Netherlands.
The CBG | Center for Family History partnered with the Rotterdam City Archives and spent three years digitizing Holland America Line passenger records from 1900 to 1969. This database is now available and includes approximately 150,000 passenger records and documents, which you can easily access from home. The company encourages you to search the database for any relatives who sailed with Holland America Line during that period. There are also some famous names included in the passenger records and some incredible immigration stories.
