MSC Cruises opens sales for the MSC World Cruise 2025. The round-the-world cruise returns with a completely new itinerary aboard the MSC Magnifica. Travelers can embark on this once-in-a-lifetime journey from four European ports: Civitavecchia (Rome), Genoa, Marseille, and Barcelona on January 4, 5, 6, and 7, 2025, respectively.
The 116-night world cruise will visit 50 destinations in 21 different countries, with seven overnight stays and 22 destinations never before featured on the MSC World Cruise itinerary. One of the highlights of the 2025 edition is the opportunity to discover Australasia with 19 days of sailing along the South and West coasts of Australia. This new itinerary will take cruisers to all five continents, cross three of the world's largest oceans, and sail more than 30,000 nautical miles, where they can enjoy diverse cosmopolitan cities, historical sites, and broaden their horizons with new flavors, traditions, cultures, and communities.
Following in the footsteps of MSC World Cruise 2025
The journey begins with stops in cities and ports in Italy, France, and Spain, before setting sail for Casablanca, Morocco. During the first week, passengers will spend the initial days at sea, followed by a day trip to Mindelo, the capital of Cape Verde.
After crossing the Atlantic Ocean, passengers will spend ten days exploring South America, with overnight stays in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Valparaíso (Chile), as well as a visit to the Falkland Islands, with their stunning views, and to the southernmost point of the continent: Ushuaia, in Argentina.
Next, the ship will travel through the South Pacific visiting tropical islands for almost two weeks, including Easter Island (Chile), Moorea (French Polynesia) and Aitutaki and Rarotonga in the Cook Islands.
Later, the exploration of New Zealand and Australia will begin, starting with the northern islands of New Zealand. Over eight days, the cities of Auckland, Tauranga, Napier, Christchurch, and Dunedin will be visited, followed by a cruise through Milford Sound in southern New Zealand.
In the second month of sailing, MSC Magnifica will stop in Sydney (Australia) and begin 19 days of sailing along the South and West coasts of the country: Eden, Melbourne, Adelaide (Penneshaw), Albany, Busselton and the Margaret River wine region; Perth and Broome.
Upon reaching the tropical climate of Asia, the ship will dock in Benoa, Bali (Indonesia). Afterward, the MSC Magnifica will sail to Singapore. To complete the Asian itinerary, passengers will visit Port Klang and Penang in Malaysia, followed by the island of Phuket in Thailand.
During the voyage across the Indian Ocean, passengers will enjoy a visit to Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. Next, they will be welcomed by the port of Aqaba in Jordan. Afterward, they will visit Sham El-Sheikh on the Red Sea; the ancient ruins of Luxor (from the port of Safaga); and transit through the Suez Canal and Alexandria, from where it is possible to visit Cairo and the pyramids of Giza.
To complete this once-in-a-lifetime itinerary, MSC Magnifica will sail back to Europe, visiting four iconic Italian cities, putting the finishing touch on a journey full of discovery in Genoa.
