MSC Cruises announces that, starting next year, Valencia and Malaga will join Madrid and Barcelona as airports offering direct flights from Spain
This cruise and flight program is designed to enhance the experience of passengers from Malaga, offering them a number of advantages: the convenience of having a direct flight from their own city of residence and transfers from the airport to the port, accompanied by MSC Cruises staff for greater peace of mind.
These advantages will make it even easier for Spanish travelers to book a worry-free holiday at sea, as well as being a great economic opportunity for those who decide to spend their holidays on board.
In response to these new offerings, Fernando Pacheco, Managing Director of MSC Cruises in Spain, stated: “We are delighted to add two more airports to our network of direct flights from Spain. The Northern European and Western Mediterranean itineraries are the most popular due to their stunning scenery and rich history. By expanding our flight network from Spain, we continue to strengthen our commitment not only to the cities of Valencia and Malaga, but also to Spanish travelers, offering them a new way to travel and discover Europe.
Through this service, passengers will have access to a dozen itineraries with 10 different ships, from classics like MSC Musica to newer vessels like MSC Euribia, available to explore every corner of Europe. The available combinations are as follows:
- MSC Fantasia: Departing from Kiel, this cruise offers itineraries ranging from 4 to 12 nights, visiting cities such as Kiel in Germany; Ronne in Denmark; and Molde and Bergen in Norway, among others. This itinerary includes connections from the airports of Valencia, Madrid, and Barcelona.
- MSC Euribia: Available from June 2023, MSC Euribia will spend its inaugural season in Northern Europe, departing from the German port of Kiel and offering 7-night itineraries to the Norwegian Fjords. For this itinerary, MSC Cruises will offer packages with flights included from Madrid and Barcelona.
- MSC Preziosa: Departing from Hamburg, this ship offers a 7- to 11-night cruise to various destinations in Norway, including Maloy, Molde, Trondheim, and Honningsvåg. Connections for this itinerary are available from Madrid and Barcelona.
- MSC Virtuosa: Also departing from Hamburg, passengers can spend from 7 to 21 nights aboard one of MSC Cruises' newest ships. The cruise visits Rotterdam and Zeebrugge in the Netherlands, as well as Le Havre in France and Southampton in the UK (on a shorter itinerary), and Lisbon in Portugal; Cádiz and the Canary Islands in Spain; Casablanca in Morocco; and Funchal in Portugal (on a 22-day cruise). Madrid and Barcelona are the two airports offering direct flights for these cruises.
- MSC Armonia: Departing from Venice, passengers will enjoy a 7-night, 8-day cruise to discover the Greek cities of Kotor, Mykonos, and Santorini, and Ancona in Italy. Direct flights for these itineraries are available from Madrid and Barcelona.
- MSC Musica: Also embarking from the Greek capital, on an 8-day itinerary from Piraeus, Athens, sailing to Santorini and Mykonos in Greece; Kusadasi in Turkey; Haifa – Jerusalem in Israel; and Limassol in Cyprus. Direct flights will be available from Madrid and Barcelona.
- MSC Divina: Embarking in Rome aboard the MSC Divina, passengers can enjoy a 7-night, 8-day cruise with stops in Syracuse, Italy; Valletta, Malta; and Santorini and Mykonos (overnight stay included) in Greece. This itinerary is available from the airports of Malaga, Madrid, and Barcelona.
- MSC Sinfonia: Departing from Venice, this 8-day cruise includes stops in Brindisi, Italy; Mykonos and Piraeus, Greece; Split, Croatia; and a return to Venice. Flight connections for this itinerary are available from Valencia, Madrid, and Barcelona.
- MSC Lirica: Departing from Venice, this ship will visit Dubrovnik in Croatia; Bar in Montenegro; Corfu and Zarte in Greece; and Bari in Italy, for 6 or 7 nights. Madrid is the only airport that offers an included flight for this cruise.
- MSC Splendida: Departing from Trieste or Venice, this ship offers a choice of 7- and 9-night cruises, visiting destinations such as Katakolon, the Pyrenees, and Corfu in Greece; Kusadasi and Istanbul in Turkey; and Bari in Italy; among others. Direct flights are available from Madrid and Barcelona airports.
