Luxury and expedition cruise company Silversea Cruises has scheduled a spectacular 2024/25 season with trips around the world on its 11 ships.
In the “New Voyages Collection 2024/25 – Colour the World” catalogue, we will not only find classic destinations, such as the Mediterranean and NorthernEurope, or even South America, Asia and Australia, but we will also find routes through Africa and the Indian Ocean, Alaska or expedition cruises to Antarctica and the Arctic.
The company will receive its new ship Silver Nova in 2023, which will be joined by its twin Silver Ray in 2024; these are two new generation ships powered by Liquefied Natural Gas, the cleanest marine fuel currently available.
The Silver Nova will be cruising Alaska between Vancouver and Seward from May to September 2024, then heading to Tokyo, then to Singapore, and finally to Australia, where it will offer a cruise season until February 2025 when it will return to Singapore and Tokyo as a base for several cruises.
Its twin, the Silver Ray, will debut on May 20, 2024, with a Southampton-Lisbon cruise, and will then venture into the Mediterranean to offer routes from Venice and Athens in the summer, before crossing the ocean to spend a season in South America.
These won't be the only ships visiting these areas. For example, the Silver Spirit will offer spring cruises from Athens, Venice, and Barcelona, but will spend the summer cruising to Iceland from both Southampton and Reykjavik. In the fall, it will return to the Mediterranean before beginning its voyage from Athens to Doha on November 16th, and then continuing its exploration of the Seychelles and South Africa well into 2025.
The Silver Dawn will spend much of 2024 cruising the Baltic Sea and Norwegian Fjords, mainly embarking in Copenhagen before heading to Lisbon, then to Athens, from Athens to Doha, from Doha to Singapore and finally to Tokyo.
Its twin, the Silver Moon, will be in the Mediterranean from June to November, and then it will head to Fort Lauderdale to begin a season in the Caribbean.
The Silver Muse, also a sister ship to the previous two, will have a very similar season to that of the Silver Ray, spending from May to September in Alaska, then sailing to Japan, then to Singapore, and then a season of cruises in Australia before returning in March and April 2025 to cruises to Japan and Singapore.
For Europeans, the Silver Shadow between New York and Quebec in the summer of 2024 are incredibly exotic, offering the chance to explore cities like Halifax, Boston, and Bar Harbour with their impressive cultural heritage. In the fall, the ship will sail the Caribbean, but between January and April 2025, it will be cruising through the spectacular French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea, Fakarava, etc.).
The Silver Whisper, meanwhile, will be in the Mediterranean from April to November, with cruises mainly from Athens, Venice, Lisbon and the Holy Land, and then it will go to Asia visiting India on the route and between the end of December 2024 and May 2025 it will offer cruises from Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo.
The Silver Wind will begin its 2024/25 season in May with a Lisbon-London cruise, followed by a London-Reykjavik voyage. This will position it for several months of cruising the Arctic and Norwegian Fjords before embarking on its journey from Greenland to Vancouver via the Northwest Passage. Once in North America, it will head south for a season of cruising in Antarctica.
Silver Cloud will undoubtedly offer some of the most exotic cruises for Europeans. The season will begin with a circumnavigation of South Africa and a visit to Madagascar before continuing on to Singapore and then Australia, where it will operate cruises between June and September, also stopping in New Zealand. Between September and October, it will sail the Pacific Ocean, visiting French Polynesia, before establishing its base in Puerto Williams and King George Island for its Antarctic cruises.
Finally, the Silver Origin is another of Silversea Cruises' state-of-the-art ships, built specifically for cruises to the Galapagos Islands. This fascinating archipelago, belonging to Ecuador in the heart of the Pacific Ocean, is teeming with endemic species and boasts a volcanic landscape.

The level of luxury on Silversea Cruises is difficult to measure or explain.
