The Port of Taranto received the Destination of the Year award at the Seatrade Cruise Awards. Raffaella Del Prete, General Manager of the Port of Taranto, and Cristina Carriere, representative of the Ionian Sea Ports Network Authority, jointly accepted the award.
The ceremony was attended by numerous important representatives from the cruise industry, gathered in the city of Malaga.
The Seatrade Cruise Awards jury, comprised of an independent panel of experts from around the world, selected the winners from the nominations received for the categories present, highlighting new innovations, technologies and projects and key people who have made an outstanding contribution to the sector.
“This award is an important recognition of the destination development work carried
out by the Port of Taranto in synergy with the Port Authority and the support of local institutions,” says Raffaella Del Prete, General Manager of the Port of Taranto. “We welcome this victory with satisfaction, confident that our enthusiasm will lead us to persevere in our commitment to highlight what, in every respect, Taranto has proven to be: a destination beyond imagination.”
