Beginning September 5, 2022, all passengers embarking on most itineraries from the United States and Europe can sail, provided they meet local testing requirements for boarding. Celebrity Cruises will also accept unsupervised self-tests on many of its itineraries starting on this date.

The new pre-boarding testing requirements for US and European ports are:
- Passengers who are “fully vaccinated” no longer need to take tests for itineraries departing from the US of nine nights or less (excluding trips that visit Canada and Bermuda).
- For cruises embarking in Europe of nine nights or less, passengers do not have to present a prior test.
- A negative result from a simple, unsupervised, self-administered test will be accepted for all travel (except travel to Australia, Bermuda, Canada, Greece, or New Zealand).
- Children under 5 years old sailing from the United States and passengers under 12 years old sailing from Europe do not need to take a pre-boarding test.
Cruises to and from ports in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand require all passengers aged 12 and older to be fully vaccinated to sail, in accordance with the country's requirements. Galapagos cruises require passengers aged 3 and older to be vaccinated.
