July is a big month for Saga Cruises as it celebrates the first anniversary of the Spirit of Adventure's maiden voyage on July 26 and the third anniversary of the Spirit of Discovery on July 10.

Despite Covid-19, the Spirit of Discovery has already traveled 145,000 nautical miles, completed 48 cruises and visited 273 destinations, while the Spirit of Adventure has traveled just under 80,000 nautical miles, completed 23 cruises and visited 144 destinations.
Nigel Blanks, CEO of Saga Cruises, said: “It is an absolute joy for us to celebrate the first anniversary of the Spirit of Adventure and the third of the Spirit of Discovery – they have come so fast!”
“Both boats were custom-built with our clients in mind. We spoke at length with them about what they wanted, and the decor and layout are based entirely on their feedback. They asked for a boutique boat that was modern and incredibly stylish, and I think we’ve achieved that.”.

“The Spirit of Discovery had only been sailing for a short time when the pandemic hit, and the Spirit of Adventure was launched as travel gradually resumed last year, and yet we have had an overwhelming response from our guests, who have been eager to get back to sailing. We have also welcomed many newcomers to cruising who want an amazing, stress-free travel experience, and feel that Saga and our beautiful, young ships offer just that.”.
