The Norwegian Prima, the first of a new class of ships designed to exceed all expectations, will debut in early September. The Norwegian Prima will boast significantly more outdoor space than any other new ship, infinity pools, larger staterooms, a multitude of high-quality dining options, and premium service that promises to keep you waiting for a second round.
Its maiden voyage will begin on September 3rd, following a spectacular inaugural celebration by Katy Perry in Reykjavik, Iceland. After its christening, the Norwegian Prima will embark on two 10-day cruises through Northern Europe and the Norwegian fjords. On September 23rd, it will begin its transatlantic crossing, arriving in New York on October 5th. It will spend the winter cruising 
the Caribbean from various ports: New York, Miami, and Port Canaveral, the closest port to Orlando and adjacent to the famous Cape Canaveral rocket launch site.
Norwegian Prima, the first in a series of six ships. The Norwegian Prima will set the design standard for a series of six ships to be built at the Italian shipyard Fincantieri until 2027. The next will be the Norwegian Viva, which will be launched in June 2023.
With a sleek hull, go-kart track, a stern infinity pool and two waterslides, restaurant terraces, more infinity pools, and glass bridges over the ocean. Inside, the centerpiece is the Penrose Atrium, featuring main restaurants, new food and beverage outlets, and new additions to the private suite area, The Haven.
Norwegian Cruise Line's Feel Free philosophy sets it apart from other cruise lines. Passengers decide when and where they want to eat lunch or dinner, there are no dress codes, a wide range of services are included in the price, and there are also Free at Sea packages.
