Oceania Cruises has announced the appointment of Chef Alexis Quaretti as Director of Culinary Program and Development. Quaretti, formerly Executive Chef, returns to lead all aspects of the development, introduction, and implementation of new concepts that will further elevate the most award-winning dining experience at sea aboard the company's seven ships and 12 restaurants.
In 2004, Quaretti joined Oceania Cruises and in 2008, at the age of 27, was promoted to executive chef. In 2010, he joined an Asian tycoon to travel and cook between St. Tropez and Hong Kong before rejoining Oceania Cruises in 2012. Two years later, he was promoted to senior executive chef, and in 2017, he led culinary development across the Viking River fleet.

With his return, Quaretti plans to run the kitchen with his love and respect for true "market cuisine," respecting nature and the changing seasons, ensuring the use of the freshest and most seasonal ingredients prepared respectfully.
