Within the framework of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), the Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies (CEAV) and the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) in Spain have signed a manifesto in which they commit to supporting each other, as well as carrying out actions that help to strengthen both the cruise industry and the travel agency sector.

According to Carlos Garrido, president of CEAV, this manifesto is “a demonstration of the close relationship between cruise lines and travel agencies. For these agencies, cruises are a fundamental product due to their complexity, which leads travelers to consult travel agents when booking. Agencies sell 90% of cruises, making collaboration between both sectors essential.”

For his part, CLIA's director in Spain, Alfredo Serrano, says that this manifesto "highlights the importance of travel agencies to the cruise industry, and reflects our desire to continue working with this community, which is key for our partners, in order to boost the recovery.".
