Politours is returning to the tourism market after Up&Fly, a company owned by Grupo Meridional, acquired the rights to use and operate the brand, as well as its management and booking software, during its liquidation. In this new phase, the tour operator will be led by Carlos Ruiz, former sales director of the defunct Politours, who has been with the company for over 14 years.

“This is a very brave bet that arises in a very complicated tourism context hampered by the pandemic, but with great opportunities for innovative projects, acknowledges the CEO of Politours.
Apart from the principles of excellence and quality, which were already a hallmark of Politours, in its new stage, the tour operator will base its management on four pillars that will define its positioning strategy, closely linked to the times we live in.
- Digitization
- Sustainability
- Independence
- Social commitment
As is tradition for this brand, the new program will focus on “cultural journeys” across the five continents, including its iconic river cruises on the Rhine, Danube and Volga.
The company has presented its new Red 360 project, through which Politours will help local economies develop solidarity wealth in destination countries, born from the development of tourism programs.
Taking advantage of the new positioning, the company has opted for a rebranding of its brand with the incorporation of new values, but without giving up the legacy of an emblematic brand with almost half a century of history and high recognition.
